pmcgann's Full Review: Bayliner 175

Pros: Great-looking, Inexpensive, Roomy

Cons: A little bit bumpy in rougher water

I've had my 175 for roughly 18 months and I love it as much as when I first bought it.

It's roomy for a 17-footer; fits my family of three and four friends and still has enough "get-up-and-go" to take us to where we want to go fairly quickly.

It handles well and gets pretty good mileage (for a boat) and is a great fit for those just starting in the world of boats or even those who've got experience but don't want to spend a fortune. AND it's a great-looking boat as well.

My friend has the Sea Ray 175 and it's virtually the same boat. The specs are identical and both Bayliner and Sea Ray are owned by Brunswick.

If you're in the market for a boat to island hop, ski or just drive around, this one is for you. The best thing about it is that you can do all of these things and not feel like you're breaking the bank with a "luxury item".
