stevpatrol's Full Review:
Bayliner 175Pros: Exactly as advertised,
quick, responsive, handles well, great value.
Cons: No radio, engine cover lacks hinge/support, bilge pump without
automatic float valve.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended. Great value, responsive and
quick. Comfortable seating, good swim platform and ladder. Reliable over
first season's use. Performed exactly as advertised. Excellent
instrumentation.
I purchased a 2005 175 Bayliner in the fall of 2004 and
launched it for the summer season of 2005. Kept it at a marina slip on the
Hudson River.
From the start, I found it to be exactly as advertised
and perfect for my needs. Ran it over 40 hours (installed an hour meter
myself)and had no trouble with engine or accessory functions.
After careful break-in period, the boat can reach a top
speed nearly 45 mph, though I rarely ran it that fast. 23 mph is a good
cruising speed with excellent fuel economy.
Large fuel tank gives good range. Control layout is
good, but there is limited space behind the helm to stand. |
