I mainly used it for cruising around the bay in
Olympia, WA, but also used it for fishing and intertubing on a lot of local
lakes. My main complaint would probably be the engine - I don't think a 4
cylinder is enough power and maybe a small V6 might make it more fun.
That aside, the boat has all the standard features you
need including all the lights and a detachable anchor light. Mine didn't
come with a stereo of any kind as most don't, which might even be a bigger
issue than the engine. The layout of the boat is nice though. A little
cramped but just fine for 4 people out for a day.
Nice area on back to sit on if you have been swimming,
and, a cozy bow to ride in and feel the cool air in your face. The only
problems I ever had were related to a bad battery and poor terminal
connections which was a cheap and easy fix. Storing this boat was easy with
a cockpit and bow canvas cover.
I recently sold this boat to get something bigger this
summer and a little more fancy as the Bayliner 175 is kind of like the
Hyundai of boats. But, when you're out on the water, having a good time,
that is the least of your worries.
